The acute toxicity of cannabis and the cannabinoids is very low in marijuana and the ratio of the amount of cannabinoids necessary to get a person intoxicated (i.e., stoned) relative to the amount necessary to kill them is 1 to 40,000. In other words, to overdose, you would have to consume 40,000 times as much marijuana as you needed to get stoned.
I'm guessing most people would just pass out after a bit.
I remember when I was 15 and I smoked weed for the first time I had the experience of "greening out". Apparently it's where you don't get enough oxygen to your brain and you pass out from it. All I remember was fading in and out of sleep and feeling sick as a dog for about 10 minutes. Yikes! :nervous: |

isn't an overdose really just a dosage above what is normally taken?
doesn't necessarily mean you die or end up in the hospital.
I remember back in the highschool my friends and I rolled and smoked a 28 paper joint. we smoked until we puked... overdose!! ;) |

lol. I never was sent the hospital but those things were so addicting. I would always sneak a handful in my pocket and eat them as a school snack.
I am now waiting for the day that I overdose on Vitamin Cs - the orange chewable ones. |

usually an overdose occurs with use of multiple drugs and has severe consequences (if not death). i think puking is hardly a big consequence lol
if thats the case, then i've overdosed on alcohol more times than i can count
you need 40 000x the amount you normally smoke to get stoned to get an overdose which is physically impossible
so i'll stick with my original "cant OD on weed!" |

I think had they been the normal ones it woulda been fine, but my mom thought she was doing a good thing by getting the ones with added iron but apparently in high doses that stuff is dangerous |

i od'd on tylenor 3 some 4 years ago. i had extremely painfull toothache and i just kept popping them, waiting for 9 am for my dentist to open up. i did 15 in 4 hours and went to sleep.
well, i stopped breathing, woke up taking a humongous breath of air and right after that i started puking. my body temperature was extremely low and i had shivers.
oh and after that i was afraid to go to sleep for a while. to this day i have sleep apnea due to being huge dumbass. i didnt go to the er cause i had no idea how to explain what have i done but im 99% sure it was an overdose. |

| I don't really like to take tylenol and asprin too much. I have to be pretty sick to resort to medications. we live in a culture where it is becoming the norm to pop a pill if you feel even slightly off. Dangerous trend... |

Same. I don't like medicating myself unless I feel really crappy. And even then I'll take one Advil first and then if my headache doesn't go away in an hour I'll take another. |
