I heard about that. How dumb do you have to be to do that? My mom evacuated her house on Saturday after the cops came by and gave the orders.

I was ready to evacuate my house as the fire looked liked it was getting pretty close to my house and Foothill Blvd was lined with fire trucks from all different states. I finally chilled out and went to bed. I don't think I will have to evacuate but you never know. I met someone who lives not too far from me and she said said they were giving her orders to evacuate, but then the authorities changed their minds at the last minute.

I think I remember seeing that in a Rambo movie...

I guess it doesn't work so well.

THey just said on KCAL that the winds have shifted and that Mt Wilson isn't looking in good shape because of it....fires coming up both sides now.

The fires are INSANE right now.

From Orange County, this whole weekend and today it looked like a volcano had erupted. The smoke plume dominated the skyline. Luckily for us, the winds didn't bring the smoke to our area.

Driving up the 605N and 5N freeways this Saturday night, I could see the reddish-orange fires along the mountains.

You know that big white area is not smoke, but a regular ole cloud that is caused by the little moisture that's evaporating as the first burns.
