Was just on wikipedia randomly, and found the tracklisting for this thing. I'm a huge fan of the Cafe del Mar compilations, I own vol. 5-8 and 13. It seems after the eigth volume they were doing more of the distribution themselves and getting their own artists like Rue de Soleil, Gary B etc.
I notice the sound has changed too, it's more mediteranean sounding with more acoustics since vol. 8 (I've listened to a few songs off the other volumes). But that isn't a bad thing, although I do prefer a bit more electronica. I should get vol. 9, that's probably my fav.
Does anyone know the release date for this one? I have to put vol. 15 on order from amazon...it's bloody $40 CDN from HMV!! |

I'm trying to signify the importance of this compilation series. I'm an chillout/ambient nut!
But yeah I love the series. The Cafe Del Mar Dreams series seems to be more focused on electronica chillout and the main series seems to have been shifted to a more acoustic sound but then I hear some electronica synths and stuff too. |
