Yeah, probably, though what the motorcycle did was definitely illegal. It basically squeezed in between the bus and a row of parked cars in order to get around the bus. It really was a result of an impatient driver showing off on a bike.
Not sure what happened to the lady, but she wasn't moving when the ambulance arrived. I didn't stay around too long, but I kind of assumed the worst. |
I sometimes wonder how hard it is to drive safe.
Like I said, my fiancée was hit by a speeding van - and, as if that wasn't enough, the driver also thought it was a nice idea to jump the red light, in spite of the fact he couldn't see whether there were any pedestrians on the zebra crossing because there were buses in the middle and left lanes. Needless to say, the driver never saw my petite coming... the impact flung her to the other side of the road in less than a second, apparently.
Then, because she IS immortal, she stood up, somewhat dazed and confused, and decided to go on with her business. The witnesses then told her to go back because it was too dangerous to walk away. She looked unfazed and even asked "Really?", so she went back to the spot where she landed and lied down again :p |

| I had an incident on the highway once where a truck harrassed me. He was swerving at me, tauntingly as if to try and run me off the road or hit me. We were going about 65 or so and he lost control of the truck and started fish tailing down the highway. He was on my left side and as soon as he started fish tailing I broke. After 2 or 3 attempted corrections, he lost total control and the truck shot straight across the highway about a car length in front of me. He went down in to the ditch and I could see in my rear view that he rolled 3 or 4 times. I immediately pulled over, probably 75-100 yards away and went to run back to the truck but thankfully, cars behind us had already pulled over to assist. I really didn't want to go back there since the guy was being a total dillhole and I would've been torn between punching him in the face and helping him. |

I was driving home from work and a car a couple hundred yards in front of me had its rear axle fail. The car dropped with lots of sparks, then it ing EXPLODED. Not catch on fire, a violent explosion.
They weren't hurt fortunately |

Looking back, most of her near-death experiences are hilarious because of the way she coped with them. The whole story is very funny, but it's a bit too long. |

| Coincidentally, my brother nearly got into an accident on the highway yesterday. It seemed some drunk in an SUV was driving on the wrong side of the highway going straight towards him. He was easily going over 90 mph and was swerving into both lanes. My brother had to drive to the side of the highway to avoid hitting him. He continued to do that down the highway nearly hitting every car that passed him. My brother called the cops and within 20 minutes, 6 cop cars were on him, with the douche bag in handcuffs on the ground. Drunk dip will now have a DUI on his record for the rest of his life and probably serve some jail time too. |

its amazing what a transport truck, doing 65mph, does to the human body. |
Lol. When I was 18 I saw what happens to a guy when hit by a high speed tilt train...
Bits of the dude were spread out over a kilometer or more :wtf: :nervous: |

high school(circa 95/96'ish)... me and a buddy asked another friend to see how fast he could get the car up to on this certain stretch of road w/ 35mph speed limit... its 7pm
so he floors it and at about 90mph another car pulls out from a side street and we crash into the back of it and then spin around sideswiping a telephone pole and a tree finally hitting a boat and into a house...
nobody got a scratch..
luckily I haven't witnessed anything too bad.. a few bad ones on alligator alley (I-75) though...
in Iraq in 2005, i had 3 155mm artillery rounds (95lbs a piece) detonate under my friend's truck about 10m in front of me, killing 4 of my friends... that wasn't so much of an accident though... i'll leave out the details though as i've mentioned them on TA before... |
