He's an amazing DJ, just out of creativity/motivation I suppose. To disregard everything he's done in the past just because of his recent years of failure is wrong.

If he were to come here I'd definitely go see him, just wouldn't expect something life changing.

I don't know about his live sets as I dont follow them too closely but "recent years of failure" is a statement I strongly disagree with as far as the production / dj mix aspect goes. Fundacion was nothing spectacular but Invol2ver lived up to the hype and in my opinion his Emfire releases have been a breath of fresh air, something different from him and quality as always.

Sasha just got stuck playing the wrong parties.

Sasha as a DJ is truly amazing.

As a producer, not so much. I think he had contributed very little to the actual composition of his songs. Supposedly, there was a significant other that helped made his most prominent tracks, i.e. Xpander, Ohmna, Belfunk, etc.

There's no "supposedly" about it, all other contributors are always credited in the sleeve notes.

fundacion is the only mix cd by him that I can't bare to listen to anymore. I liked it when it first came out for a a little bit and then it completely lost its flare.

but to be fair they're two very different sounding comps
