The setup last night was dope, reminded me a bit of the daft punk pyramid. The entire staff was in full costume.
The sound during the opener's set was pretty bad, not sure what was going on. But Aly & Fila quickly got it dialed in once they got on and it sounded much better

Another night of great music at Circus! The floor was slow to fill until Fila came on, but then was packed...maybe the 10pm guestlist cutoff was too early or most people bought presale tix?
The pyramid stage setup was pretty wicked, and Fila played a solid Trance set with some beautiful vocals. Not sure why, but seemed like something was missing with the progression, flow or something though, and the beats seemed kinda repetitive at times. Maybe Matthias of Cressida spoiled me with the sheer awesomeness of his set last week, or I was just wanted more of a progressive sound...but then Norin & Rad came on and really delivered!
Unlike some previous nights where most of the crowd left right after the headliner, I think most everyone was hooked on Norin & Rad's set, and the dance floor was still going strong until 4am when they were asked to stop spinning while people were still shouting "one more song!" The energy of their music lifted the place up a notch or two and it was just what I was looking for! :D
I was so upset last night!! We ended up staying until 1:00am in Orange County so I didn't even get home until almost 2, so didn't even get to go out on the one weekend I've been looking to go out this month!!! and from the pics it looks great!

and the video too! :)
edit: Anyone have tips for getting better quality vids out of YouTube? Typical Mac setup using iMovie '08 here, but the compression has degraded the quality a lot from the original...maybe just a limitation of downsizing them for the internet?

wow. Awesome night as I got to see all of my friends!! It was a GREAT welcome home party, guys. So you should be seeing more of me around. Though October I'll be heading up North for some parties and still in the process of moving in. I still <3 my BA home. Haha.
Fila's set was what I expected. After seeing him in SF. It's pretty good, but I keep hearing the SAME thing from everyone about the repetitive style. I was disappointed about the setup. It looked awesome, but the sound quality was yucky just because the other party's sound bled pretty awful.
Pearl & Pelio + Norin & Rad were amazing!! Mostly, I'm glad I got to see my beautiful friends and their smiles.

It was one of the best nights; just as good as Andy Moor I think.
Setup-wise, the pyramid was a cool concept and looks good in the pictures. But IMO the LED wall looked the best and the laser added to the whole effect.
Music-wise, I liked A&F's set, and N&R also delivered what I expected (I got there after 12). The back room also played some great music but was totally empty.
Sound-wise there was a bit too much bass in the back (wrt the stage) in the beginning but got fixed later. And a bit too high mids close to the stage. The volume was OK I thought but later some people told me they left because they thought the music was too loud. You can't please everyone I guess. Still, to Circus' defense they change the setup so often, that it is hard to finetune the sound.
The staff was dressed up as already mentioned, go-go girls looked great, and also the crowd looked a lot better than usual. For sure I felt people started leaving early; the areas to the left and right of the VIP seating looked emptier after 1:30.
Definitely looking forward to the next weeks.

Posting late...hehe
I had an amazing time at Circus last Saturday.
Pearl & Pelio dropped some great tracks (Galaxia from Treadstone...can any one say NOCTURNAL :D)
Aly & Fila (just Fila this time :( so lame oh well) had a great set. Just what I expected...high BPM uplifting tracks :D
Norin & Rad never cease to fail. They dropped some heavy ass songs. Their mashup of Onyric and Sirens of the Sea is just awesome. Along with their Man on the Run / Formentera What mashup.
The pyramid was an excellent stage =) I really enjoyed the net around the poles in the middle so you can see the art from the laser.
SO WHO'S READY FOR MYON & SHANE54?!?!

They played Ferry Corsten - Insolation (Flashover Remix) and I was in heaven...
They mixed out of it during the breakdown though...
