after working my ass off to finish GTA IV and then just thinking - huh...its over?
this is the first thing to make me really interested. the new game was interesting, but everything that made San Andreas exciting was mostly missing. this looks like it will change that

Yeah they took a giant step backward with IV IMO. Less weapons, less options, less vehicles, less missions, less space. |

| Are the GTAIV episodes worth getting an Xbox360 for? The trailer for The Lost and Damned trailer never really intrigued me, but Gay Tony does. I would also be getting the 360 for Forza. Worth 90000000 dollars? |

well the Pro is being discontinued, so if you do some lookin you can get a new chipset, 60gb model for a decent price. the elite doesnt come with HDMI anymore, although that shouldnt shave 100 off the price - but there is some speculation that a 250 GB model will come out soon. storage is not at all a big deal with the 360, since you cannot load much but music on the drive, unless you pay for something you wont really end up owning. (basically, the pro is perfect, especially if cheap)
AND if you buy the retail version of the GTA episodes you shouldnt need the original game disc either. 40 for the two episodes is okay, with used discs and downloads i wouldnt expect much cheaper but it is possible. plus San Andreas is available for DL on the XB marketplace too.

umm it depends. you shouldnt need Gold for patches, and most if not all DLC is available for Silver - eventually, but usually not right away. some games require Gold for online play - like Forza 3.
i was suspicious of the whole paying for online thing, but if you time it right you can get 13 mos for like 30-40 bucks at the right online retailer, so its not quite as steep as i had thot
