Well paperboy, thanks for the extra extra, but it's actually a combination of psy, and progressive trance, and most of the tracks don't have the galloping bass line which is a signature of psy-trance.

One of the best trance albums ever in my opinion, honestly. The tracks are all different and there is so much artistry and creativity in them. A lot of great ideas, meticulous programming, flawless production and the melodies, atmospheres, everything... it's music that speaks to me. Trance is seldom as interesting as on EarthShine.

More recently he did an amazing job together with Aes Dana on the new H.U.V.A. Network album "Ephemeris". Check it out.

news for ya: he is not.
he's been releasing more or less exclusively released down tempo stuff. Earth Shine was in fact a step away from his usual sound.

Very talented producer and that Earthshine album is indeed awesome.
Also check out Vibrasphere - Baltic Resonance (Vibrasphere remix). He should do more trance oriented stuff :D

They, and yes they should. Vibrasphere are a more 'trancy' psy-trance of which lightspeed would be referring to.

last time I checked Solar Fields is 1 guy.

I thought you meant vibrasphere when you said he.
Domesticated
He meant Baltic Resonance (Solar Fields Remix).

It was a couple of months after I joined tranceaddict that there was a thread recommending this album. At the time I was fairly skeptical about all the people praising it, but I bought it from beatport and took it away on a three week beach holiday to Thailand a couple of weeks later.

Again, when I heard those first jingly bells at the start of Summer, I knew I was in for something special, and I've pretty much been listening to the album every couple of weeks since. It is an incredible piece of work.

Unfortunately, despite this album being so good, no one else, as fair as I am aware, has tried to emulate/replicate this type of trance sounds.

I understand what you're saying, but replication of sounds is why trance has ended up in such an awful state now and has become so devoid of creativity.

Besides, there are a few artists who have done similar stuff to this, such as Human Blue, Whirloop and 12 Moons.
Subtle
Id say this is more what really is progressive trance, acts like Vibrasphere etc. is also considered progressive trance.. unfortunately everything that isnt uplifting straight to the point trance is also considered progressive trance these days.

Magadansky
My favorite track from that album was February, the most psychedelic and the fastest out of the album. That bassline just makes me groove until it ends. All the tracks however are very nice. :)

And yeah, Domesticated recommended some of the other artists that produce similar stuff, check them out.

I wrote replication, in the sense of taking this type of sound and moving it forward, not copy pasting obviously.
As for your list of artist, only Whirloop has published an album with similar sounds after the release of "Earthshine".
