If we had a provincial election I would be happy as hell. I'm happy with what Harper is doing. Canada is doing well through the recession compared to other countries. GDP is back in the black and there has been about a 30% recovery in thr markets thus far.
Forget federal politics, get Dalton Mchead out of office. |
+ a million
Dalton is ruining ontario. |

This is obviously a power grab by Ignorantieff. They are saying that harper hasnt done enough about employment insurance. Meanwhile the blue ribbon panel that was started between the libs and the conservatives hasnt even published their report and recommendations yet! I love how he will be campaigning on bringing that little terrorist douchebag traitor Khadr to Canada. Let the americans try and punish him just like we do with anyone else that is subject to a foreign jurisdiction. Give me a break! But i guess the liberals know where their votes are eh?
Iggy and the Libs are bitter that their little attempt at a coup last winter didnt succeed. They also had a decent fund raising drive in the summer so its all about opportunity.
How is a federal election going to have a good outcome for the economy when it results in shutting down parliament for 2 months or more?
If ignoramous does force an election, i hope harper gets a majority so he can start governing like a conservative instead of a quasi-liberal which is what he has had to do to fend off another coup attempt.
Hidden agenda? LOL! There is a recycled term from the past! Didnt work for Martin, didnt work for Dion and wont work now.
In fact the only hidden agenda ive seen is Dalton "i wont raise your taxes" Mcguinty. And we all know how that worked out! |

BINGO!!!!! Finally someone said it. Bastard should rot in a cell for the rest of his life. And if you look at the electoral demographics in this country it is painfully obvious who is voting for who.

The health premium
The HST
The Electonic Recycling fee.
The increased provincial gas tax.
Higher land transfer taxes. |

Just a quick comment before I leave this thread again, as I'm not in the mood to talk politics.
Do any of you Lib-bashers think that for a second if the roles were reversed, the Cons wouldn't be forcing an election every chance they got? |

I won't disagree with Dalton needing to go....it feels like he's been premiere for ever.
Like I said...I am all for many CPC ideas....I just don't trust Harper...I never have and I never will. |

Mr. Matt your point is very well taken. But I think the point of true contreversy here is one simple thing: timing.
Simply put, bad timing. Let the government do what it has to to get the economy back up on its feet, while doing so, the Liberals still have the option to keep a very close eye over the CPC. I think calling an election now will sway alot of voters to conduct protest voting. And there will be another record low voter turnout. Taxpayer money could be much better spent than on stupid partisan politics. |

Unlike Harper's last election call, at least the purpose of this one would be to bring about a change in gov't.
I'm ambvalent right now as to whether there is an imminent "need" for a change or whether this is ideal timing for the Liberals...but I think everyone knows my thoughts on Harper. This hypocrite and fraud should have been turfed long ago, IMHO. |
