First sound comes in @ 2:33 - Just a very basic melody.
The second is the vocal that comes in at 3 minutes. Was wondering how to create a hollow, yet extremely stereo fieldish vocal that sits at the front of a mix. It's hard to tell how pristine the vocal is from youtube, but it gives a fair idea.

I'm not hearing anything unusual other than standard compression, reverb and delay. I think the timbre of her voice has more to do with it than anything else. Sometimes the use of doubler plugins can have an effect.
Great track, tho. Somehow I missed that one. |

Here is a high quality clip. That youtube just doesn't do it justice. It's way more complex than that. There is something that is hollowing out her lower frequencies and it's not just EQ.

| Also, that vocal does not seem all that "stereo" to me, it sounds panned slightly to the right, with some delay on it. The "hollowness" is probably down to EQing and maybe an effect. It sounds slightly noisy and "thin" to me, almost like it was captured with a tape recorder or something and then placed in the track. Does sound interesting. |
