doesn't seem too far fetched to me... considering he has more czars now than appointed cabinet members, who are not subject to confirmation approval, and have no accountability to anyone other than Obama. |

| We've been heading for a dictatorship for well over a half century now. |

Are you going to give reasons why you oppose The17sss's point of view or are you just going to continue calling him names, like you do in every other post? It doesn't really help support your position, if you even have one on the issue. |

I don’t really see the point (or need) to respond intelligently to such an outrageous position from TA’s favourite anti-obama hate campaigner. But, since you asked…
Since we just got rid of the most oppressive, sneaky and underhanded administration the US has seen since ive been alive, I think it’s a little strange to be saying that the new admin is even worse than the last (the17sss has HORRIBLE partisan issues he needs to deal with).
Either you guys think that your constitution is valid and a successful constraint against tyranny, or you don’t. has obama dissolved congress? The supreme court? All state governments?
Criticise him for his policies all you like, when you’re actually accurate I will probably even agree with you. but talking about “dictatorships” is clearly ludicrous (assuming you guys actually know what “dictatorship” actually means) |

Again, you really haven't said much here, in substance that is. All you did was rant and rave about the opposite view being wrong without giving any clear evidence as to why you think so. Try again, seriously. I am always interested in the opposite point of view of my own but I can't take it seriously if it is only going to consist of ranting and raving. |

i ranted and raved in response to the original article's ranting and raving, in which he made absolutely no headway in illustrating that obama is heading for dictatorship. why am i expected to do more?
i DID give clear evidence. i asked you whether obama had done things (dissolved congress, the supreme court, state governments) that are a pre-requisite for dictatorship. has he done any of these? how can you label anything a "dictatorship" if the cornerstones of your republic still exist in the same way they've always existed? |

Reasons?
- being afraid that a few people (czars) appointed by Obama have supposedly no accountability, but being perfectly fine that as we have seen nobody under bush (including the bush appointed czars) has yet to be held accountable to anything.
- being afraid that the awful influence of obama would stop pointing their assault weapons at immigrants at border crossings and/or deer hunting at the woods but would instead start pointing them at other freedom loving americans who do not want socialism in their country
-as far as the media goes...republicans have the worlds most fair and balanced network on their side, what media control?
All in all, everything that the person in the article is afraid that Obama might do, Bush alredy did...but i guess thats okay because he is a republican. |

Keep in mind, there are a lot of people out there, myself included, who agree with everything you just said. Remember that there are also people who don't see Americans as just Republican or Democrat either. Strip the Republican name tag from Bush and Democrat name tag from Obama and all I see is two very bad presidents who pushed for the same agenda.

I dont mind staying clear of the republican and democrat tags, since they have been both butchered beyond recognition by this point.
However some dont see beyond that, and i find it shameful that the same acts that they heavily supported while they were being carried out by the previous administration, they now furiously oppose because apparently now that the democrats are carrying them out, there is potential for abuse, even though we saw plenty of that when the republicans were in power.
Also I would argue that while it may seem that obama is pushing a similar agenda, he is working from a very different place than bush, and in the end that can make all the difference. Keep in mind, youre already heavily in debt which keeps increasing by the second, youre in war, your health system is failing, your financial system is barely holding together, i wont even touch upon the education (lets just say that apparently 18% of america thinks that the sun revolves around the earth )...considering all that how much worse can anything Obama does really be? |
