Yes, I was thinking of audiophile grade interconnect cables. My father's hobby is high-end hometheater, andhe has some audio engineer frieds that could put together something for me. I know im a quality freak.

haha...yes movie nights at my house are always a given. God knows how much money my dad dumps into the hometheater. The rack on teh wall is just loaded with super expensive amps and processors. Now i'm telling him to scrap the projection tv and go with a ceiling mounted projector.

you would think that for the price you pay for them, technics would come with gold plated cables.. NOPE!

I might replace mine too, of course, that would void my warranty..

It’s really surprising just how much shoddy cables affects sound quality! Just one tip though, make sure you have a good quality Mixer and Styli/Cartridges otherwise any sound improvement will be lost!

soo...anyone know the proceedurs to do this? I like to have an idea what I'm doing before I got taking apart my Techs.

it depends on how nice you want it to look

you could just chop the old RCA off the end, cut back some of the sheild, and solder on a new RCA/XLR or whatever you want as an out from the TT(id suggest sticking w/ RCA) If you buy nice RCA they should come w/ a neck sheild so that it will cover the bit you hacked off.

the other option, is to open the Techs, rip the entire RCA apparatus(cords+ends) out and solder a new set in.

Id try the 1st one. Its not hard @ all, should take 10 minutes
