Yes, we are. We are all here for the amusement of everyone/someone else. All forums are basically reality shows where the posters inside make emotional bonds with others, or trust each other with deep secrets in order to be hurt by what they've revealed in the future. Also, since it's interactive, if you manage to become a celebrity or a cool character, you might just interact with the other characters in reality, and that will result in even more hilarity!
There are things going down right now that will blow up in someone's face down the line and we will all have a smashing good time laughing at their misfortune or how ed up they are. Things that are completely secret, nearly ing classified, will become public knowledge (much to the despair and anguish of the person(s) who wanted those things secret! ahahahah).

It's nothing but long-term schadenfreude. Admit it, you love it when someone's feelings are hurt, you love to talk , you love humiliating people, you love it when people get exposed: it's just so much better when you know that it's all real.
