getting there:
parking somewhere below 96th St. and walking over the 103rd St. footbridge.

getting back: either the bus to 125th or walking over the triboro back into manhattan.

Anybody have any idea how long the ferry ride to Randall's Island takes?

definitely doing a parking/walking over the bridge thing. does anyone know if/when each bridge is closed to Pedestrian traffic?

would prolly take the bus as an alternative. altho I just wonder how long it would take for ppl to get to BOARD a bus if everyone was going that route. i wonder how many buses have been rerouted just for this event. or (worse) imagine the traffic coming out of Randalls Island? yikes.

would appreciate a response from anyone that actually DID walk the bridge after tonight's show...still debating this as it would of course be dark by then. im hoping a few ppl will, as there is safety in numbers...

if not, probably the Ferry to Hunters Pt

I left at 11 and I'm already back in my apartment. The line looks bad, but they actually board the buses really quickly. You don't have to swipe your card on the way back, which really speeds things up.

take the bus. It was super fast and it cost nothing on the way out. The poor cars in the parking lot were lined up for ages after the event. we got home in 20 mins or less. DONT PARK.

+1. Buses were alright, even with lines, it went by pretty quick.

Lots of people walked over the bridge both to Manhattan and to Queens (not sure about the Bronx). Just remember that you can walk over the 103rd St. bridge on the way there but not on the way back (assuming you leave after sundown). So if you park somewhere by 103rd St. you're gonna have to hoof it 20 blocks or so back to your car after the party b/c the Triborough bridge pedestrian path lets you out on 124th Street and 2nd Ave.

I biked over the 103rd St. bridge on the way there. Locked my bike to a post right outside the front gate, and biked over the Triborough on the way home. Felt sorry for all the people lining up in their cars and for the people lined up for the bus as I zoomed by the cars and buses waiting to get off the island. I was sitting on my couch 30 minutes after leaving the show.

BTW....Made Events definitely nailed this one. The set-up was great, food options awesome (wraps, pizza, burgers, falafels, kebabs, baked goods, ice cream, coffee drinks by "Mud Coffee", etc...), very short lines, awesome sound and lights, good views of the stage, and let's not forget the amazing line-ups...all in all AMAZING. Can't wait till tomorrow.

The buses were actually great, they were coming very often and fit a lot of people. You should still try leaving a bit before the end to avoid any lines.

I managed to catch my train to NJ. The buses were pretty quick, got on the subway and caught my train on time. ;)

You should try the bus in Queens. I think thats closer to you.
