psy trance. One of the most difficult genres to produce IMO. Everything needs to be so tight and well EQ there is no real room for error at all.
As for psy trance kicks in FL. Try starting with the Fruity Kick, this is synth so you can really manipulate the sound and tweek it to perfection. Then the all required EQ. Should be top end orientated.
Also don't forget, that bass & kick in psy (as in all music really) is the spine of your track. It is important to ensure that your bass line rolls of the kick to perfection otherwise you loose the impact of the kick. Side chaining and subtle automation of the cut off & resonance are required.
Failing how to get the fruity kick to your required taste, buy some psy trance sample packs init! :) |

It's one of those things which are so hard to give advice without being able to hear the sound you have as well as see the working file itself.
So much depends on what's going on in the file itself.
I would say maybe try and look for a few youtube tutorials but also look up the basics. Kick's tend to have a more high end nature to them in psy but they need to be punchy. I find a lot depends on the side chaining of the bass as well. It maybe you have the kick you want but with the rolling bassline you have two similar freq fighting the same battle.
I assume you have a rolling bassline?
If yes, is this side chained? If not, do this first, try using the fruity envelope controller (as this is side chaining non-compressor based.
Then automate the cut -off/freq in your bass synth so on the first note & the kick) it's pulled down to get a real deep sub sound then up to about mid range (maybe slightly above on the off notes. Then repeat so it spans across the 4x4 kick.
See how that firstly frees up the kick.
As said, I cannot see of hear your working file so may not work but that's how I would go about it first. |

Well, today is your lucky day.
On our HarderFaster Productions board my good friend Dmak posted a Pure FL file for psy trance for download.
It's made entirely with FL samples and plug-ins; Should have enough for you to adapt to your file.
