"Headlands" Radio Show
Hosted by Tim Robert on Pure.FM Progressive
Thursday, September 10 with Ali Mahmud
8-10 PM EDT, 00:00 - 02:00 GMT

Every 2nd Thursday "Headlands" showcases the latest progressive house tracks
from both established and up-and-coming artists. The show's 2nd hour features
guest mixes by prominent American and International DJs and producers. This
month features a guest mix by DJ/Producer Ali Mahmud.

Ali Mahmud is one of the fastest rising talents in the New York City area, and has
developed a loyal following with his hard hitting, emotional, and uplifting live sets.
Ali quickly established himself in Philadelphia in 2008, opening up for Jon O’Bir, Activa,
and Tom Colontonio. In 2009, he broke into NYC, playing at renowned clubs such as
Pacha and Love, and on the same bill as Ronski Speed and Mark Knight. As Ali began
to make a name for himself in the NYC scene, he founded promotional company
Mid-Atlantic Trance with business partner Sean Reed. Mid-Atlantic Trance has
brought top quality artists such as Stoneface & Terminal and Mike Koglin to NYC,
and upcoming Mid-Atlantic events will feature the likes of Ali Wilson and Adam Sheridan.
In addition to his busy schedule as DJ and promoter, Ali is working hard on productions,
aiming to create tracks that will capture everything he loves about trance and move
the genre forward. With a level of dedication, energy and enthusiasm matched by few
in the EDM industry, Ali Mahmud should be a name to watch.

Great sets from you guys --
Tim, that Retroid remix is gorgeous...I always thought he was an exclusively breaks artist, but clearly he also makes melodic prog....
Ali, dig the first few tracks of course, as well as Sean's classic.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback, it means a lot, and thanks to all who listened in...
