Hey guys
Another sort of digital vs analogue debate for you cos i know how much you all love these...
Thinking of selling my nord lead 3 hardware synth.
BECAUSE
1) It is not portable and the automation is way behind software (midi CC's etc)
2) Bought it afew years ago so i could sit on a unit and learn sound design, have achieved that purpose, now automation is important
3) Personally, money could be better spent on a good midi controller
So, what's ur opionon, or have u been through this yourselves, do i sell? |

it's my personal opinion that hardware is always good to hold onto. resale value generally doesn't change too much, and it's always useful to have it sitting there just in case one day you want to use it..
if you really don't use it though, you might as well sell it and use the cash for something you WILL use, like new monitors, sound card etc :)
i would also imagine you would be hard-pressed to come by a softsynth that has the potential to sound as good as the NL3 does (i don't have one but the word is it's pretttttty damn good), but if you think you can, why not...
you might also be wise to put this into the producer's section of TA rather than the AUS section dude :)
if you really want a knowledgeable debate that is :p |

Because its digital and later models have come out, its losing value. Its in incredible condition thou, still got the plastic covers on the led screens.
I am disagreeing about sound quality, software is just as good, would love a tube limiter though for that authentic warm sound.
Will post this on producers section, cheers |
