I've never understood this claim. Perhaps students in grade school and the early years of high school get little homework when school resumes. But as for university, the norm (at least in Arts&Science) at UofT was to have readings due for the first day of class which, of course, could not possibly be compelted until after students had gotten i) the course syllabus detailing the list of readings as well as ii) an opportunity to purchase the readings.

lol Nick quit being such a nerd
we all got readings list in the first week, but who the hell starts doing them right away?:)

Yeah. The last person I want to be is that in' annoying idiot who's always asking stupid questions because they didn't do the readings. Thanks for wasting everyone else's time.

Actually in my experiences the person asking all the stupid questions actually did the reading and is just to stupid to get it! The person who didn't read sits down keeps their mouth shut.

Yeah, but I'm sure you weren't in a program comprised of 90% girls/women. Lol. What is it about women that makes them especially dependent on others to think for them?

Yeah I said that, because it's true. :o

My program was 95% men, or should I say boys; rest assured that we had the exact same idiots in our lectures.

4 out of 5 stupid questions were just laziness - answers were right there in the readings/lecture notes that they couldn't be bothered to read - and 1 out of 5 came from people who genuinely just couldn't comprehend it.

I truly do find this so enraging. While I love back to school, I ing hate the first week because that's when the majority of people ask stupid questions about assignment criteria, due dates, etc. IT'S RIGHT ING THERE IN THE GODDAMN SYLLABUS YOU ING MORONS. UGH.

And it's always the same s, too. The ones that are always yapping in class and ing around on their phones and . Not only that, but then they have the nerve to speak to the prof like it's HER/HIS miscommunication problem.

Some stupid bitch's phone rang in class yesterday, and she actually answered it and started talking! FFS!

Anyway, nice day out today! :gsmile:
