I got this phone last December in Finland when it wasn't available in USA yet and I've been happy with it. Battery life is very decent and it seems pretty similar to iPhone, at least when my friend with an iPhone and I compare them together during use. I definitely prefer the "keyboard" on my phone over the iPhone. I may not be able to help you with techy questions though because I use so few features on my phone, mainly just SMS, MMS, web and video, and I'm not a tech geek :clown:
A bit off the topic: Is AT&T supposed to have a 3G network? If they claim so they're liars because my phone always has the 3G sign on, sometimes even 3.5G when I'm traveling in Europe but the sign's never on in USA... |

you probably have the european version since you got the phone before it came out in the US, in which case your phone doesn't have the North American 3G bands for 850/1900mhz, so yeah you won't get 3G service on ATT since these are the bands they use. |

So even though my phone is quadra band with 850/1900MHz it doesn't count because the 850/1900MHz are not 3G? :conf: That would totally suck! :whip: |

Oh if you have a quad band phone it should work here in the US on ATT. I would stop by an ATT store and pickup a new SIM. Supposedly their new SIMs pickup a lot more 3G towers, I had mine switched out a few months back and it's much better. It didn't cost me anything btw.
Anyway about the 5800, it's a nice handset if you're really just using it for phone, sms, mms. I wouldn't get it just for the music features and the Ovi store is pretty lame for now. |

I could have gotten you that iPhone that weekend for 150.
I called you but i forgot to leave a voice-mail...I see a bunch right now for that range.
This phone doesn't even come close to an iPhone. |

my phone took a hit this weekend on sunday at some point... losing more of the plastic on the keys, so even more of a pain in the ass to push buttons. PM whats out, wasnt really too pumped on 1st generation. 2nd gen in good shape and all the cables for $150 = win!
that would be cheaper than an Itouch, with the itouch capabilities plus me being able to make/receive calls and keep my $35/month rate. :gsmile: |
