Honestly, while I do like helping others...I like to limit that help only to people who are willing to do for themselves. That is, I won't help a total ing moron who expects everyone else to do for them all the time and never make an effort to teach themselves.
I feel like I've already made the mistake of being available to my one friend. She's a smart girl, just she doesn't handle stress well. So I always end up holding her hand through that really isn't that hard OR stressful. It's very annoying. Her problem is that she commits to failure before any outcome...so she's always sabotaging herself. I'm enraged just thinking about her spazzing out. Omg. :mad: |

Haha I totally know what you mean. These days even when I help my parents I just ask them questions and "lead" them to figure it out by themselves and they slowly learn to ask themselves the right questions and figure out how to do things without asking me. I saw my dad using bittorrent the other day.. I thought that was awesome :stongue: |

That, for example, is hard for her to navigate and use. It's our school's website. She was practically in tears becuase it was too "confusing" for her to figure out how to enroll in classes and look at her timetable, etc.
edit: she's also freaking out about using the GO train tomorrow. She said "I've never ridden it before, I don't know where I'm going or where I'm supposed to get off."
Like, FFS..YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU'RE GOING??!! Bloody ing hell. The train goes two ing ways, and one of the stops is our university. NOT THAT HARD. |

i mean she's not a moron, she's actually pretty intelligent but she's just a typical baby boomer and can't figure out most modern electronics and doesn't put in the effort to learn because she's "against it" lol (against it meaning she thinks everyone is an idiot with their cell phones glued to their ears and using the net from a cell phone to add twitter updates, etc...). she thinks everyone is insane...except her of course. |
