some serial killers are logical thinkers (not even all of them)
not all logical thinkers are serial killers (nor are they more likely to be serial killers) |
no i'm definitely a firm believer in "takes one to know one" and like i said, that thought didn't even cross my mind because it is SO ing bizarre and far fetched. i honestly think the jealousy/rage answer re: the sister possibly having sex w/ that guy is more logical than anything. well not logical, but it just made more sense and seems to be a little more of a common reaction with females. |

Jamie, just no...
Look at the question posed, it sets you up to make a logical conclusion like the one you consider to be that of a serial killer. If anything this test only shows if you are able to think logically or not and read cues and hints from a question. You, being of the female persuasion, obviously can not. |

Not really. The answer you gave is more emotional, as it presumes anger or jealousy as the motive for murder. The answer I gave, and a serial killer would supposedly give, is coolly logical from the information given, with no inductive reasoning involved.
There's absolutely no proof that this question has anything to do with thinking like a serial killer. It seems to me to be just a bull meme attached to a riddle. |

yea i know and i'm proud of my answer. serial killers don't have emotions about anything lol
there's a fine line between the two though. i would definitely never kill someone out of jealousy, but it was just my way of thinking. it would never occur to me that someone in their right mind would kill someone (their own blood sister) just so they could meet a guy again lol. it wouldn't be more acceptable either if she did it out of jealousy as both are purely insane, but it would just be easier for me to understand why. |

So you chose to ignore everything in the story except for the bit about her sister being killed?
The point of the other words is to impart clues as to why the end is what the end is. It is logical to follow the clues in the story and then get the right answer.
Like someone else said, this isn't any sort of scientific test, it is just a riddle. |

Which is why your first guess was strictly an emotional response :conf: |

HAHA!!! Quality, kudos for that!
My ex gf asked me this on the phone once. When quick as a flash I gave the answer she totally shat herself. |

lol, look out folks, I'm a wannabe serial killer. That means everyone has to be nice to me or be very very afraid?
:D
Yay, I knew the day would come when people would stop openly hating me. This is it?
:p
Actually, when I post on TA, it's usually a "group" event cuz my friends and I are taking breaks from our research or studies, what have you, just sitting around, listening to music and reading and responding to silly posts on intarweb forums. I read Jamie's original post and it didn't sound like a serious question, it sounded more like a riddle so we figured it was a trick question...and approached it as such.
