Way to jump to the conclusion this will be an EDM club...
Hell that it'll even be a club at all.
Maybe it's going to be a treatment center for people with Amnesia...
Or maybe Jay Z is opening it up the latest place to stab somebody...
Or maybe it's gonna be a museum...

I just got an fb message for an invite to the grand opening on Dec. 10th. ummm on the flyer its says.... "National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (The EMMYS)" .... with no explanation of why or how the EMMYS are related to this....
the lineup sounds like a bunch of random non edm generic DJs.. |

There was a party with Colette, Heather and Sleepy & Boo this past friday. It looks like there will be more of these in the future. NYC needed a new venue :) |

I went to that. After almost not being let in because it was a "private party" (not true), I discovered the worst-sounding club I had ever been in, in any city. It's basically a giant brick warehouse with 30 foot walls, and you get no bass whatsoever unless you're sitting down. I will never go back for any DJ. |

Ah, so it's basically the same sound as when it was Sol, then. :stongue:
Oh well. Let's see how everything plays out in the next weeks, they had an open call on Monday and Tuesday, so they're still staffing and working out the kinks, I'm sure. |

We were kind of more lending a hand to Rob Rewind on this party...the real sound system wasnt in yet and the space wasn't quite finished.
I think it'll be great if they put a real quality sound system in there since its a great space, and a nice big, open room. It has a lot of potential for that.
So let's see what shakes out sound wise.
