Ok so I get the email last night from their site to go update to 9.
I go and download the installer, and everytime I click on the exe I get the following application error.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The insruction at "0x7c911119" referenced memory at "0x000c1343". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't expect anyone to be computer genious's but I've exhausted all my resources at this point and am not sure what to do.
I tried first uninstalling FL 8 (I never had to uninstall previous versions in the past to get a new version to work)
Didn't work.
I tried downloading the installer from another place, same message came up.
Tried googling it, and found no solutions of any kind.
Tried doing a system restore, same message.
Tried emailing FL Studio, and they said they haven't seen it before and its most likely not a problem with the exe file cause noone has complained.
**IMPORTANT PART**
About 4 months back I got a pretty nasty virus on my computer and couldn't get rid of it. I tried several programs that all failed.
Then downloaded hijack, and went reading online and GUESSING what programs didn't look right then deleting them.
Never got rid of the virus, and operation of my computer never changed.
THEN I downloaded Combofix, the beast virus raping program that gives you 10 thousand warnings about how you can screw your computer up using it. I use it, the virus vanishes for ever. My computer starts working great like it use to.
My question is, is there a chance cause I didn't know what I was doing with ComboFix or Hijack this that I deleted some pertinent file thats leading to this error message? I really have NO IDEA what to do at this point anymore. And I'm so fvckn excited to try FL 9, and now I don't even have 8 on my computer but am gonna wind up seeing if I can reinstall that.
Fvck if any computer genious might have an idea or thought I can really use one right now.. thanks guys |

1) Click 'run' type 'msconfig' and see if there is something conflicting with the program.
2) Clear your registry.
3) Try reformatting your computer.
If none of these work, either revert back to FL studio 8 or get a new hard-drive and install a fresh copy of your OS & programs there. |

| Try downloading the installer again or from a different location. |

Ok I was able to reinstall FL 8 perfectly fine, so its got to be an issue with the FL 9.exe file.
The give you 3 mirrors to download from on their site, and every single one is not working on my computer. I contacted FL again and I'm gonna see if I can get the exe file somewhere other then their site.. |

Yeh I'm actually learning this is a common problem with the FL 9 release because technical support is drunk on the job again.
Their FL 9 mirror links takes you to 3 links. One is n FL 8.02 and the other 2 don't work. I think its hilarious FL would make a mistake like this.
Theres a ton of people complaining about it in the forum and they still haven't done about it, but other people seem to be getting it to work somehow. No real point in lifetime free updates if the updates don't even work. I raised hell in the forums and I'll see what the admin says.
Other people on this forum who use FL are likely to run into the same issue, so come support the fight over there if you'd like. Complete utter bs. |
