want to get info of a good concert event to go to any time in Dec. in
Los Angeles or Las Vegas, I am a few years older than Moby, I was into
this music before it had a name. I need some pointers on what to
expect before I go, I realize this may seem like a dumb request but I
would like some help in this area, thanks in advance. |

| if u are older than Moby, id keep it strictly a club event or something else 21+ for the first time......LA has plenty going on all the time.....kinda just depends on your musical tastes, as does LV these days....just check into this forum and u can find whatever u need as that time gets nearer |

+1
If you've never been a rave, a 21+ club is the way to go, especially if you are going by yourself or with people who have never been to a rave before.
There are a lot of clubs in the LA area, each with their own vibe. IMO, Vanguard is a pretty safe choice for a first-time experience, although I prefer Circus myself.
Read this forum for guestlist information the week before the event. |

| avoid raves, they are hideous sights and will probably drive you away from the music forever. especially if you are mature. start with smaller venues like the standard, king king, wherever they do mns now... you will find a more grounded crowd at these places. if you're feeling more adventurous, check out the larger clubs, but they are quite a bit messier. |

Don't listen to these youngins! Be adventurous and check out a large event/massive. There's Sin City Reloaded tonight and Nocturnal coming up on the 26th. You can find out more ::here::.
If that's alittle too much, then come on down to CIRCUS . You will have a good time here and if you get alittle hungry, there's food too.
BTW... how old is Moby? ;) |

But when are YOU going to be adventurous and open your mind about other venues outside of Circus? :tongue3 Hehe!
Back to topic, I think what's best for the topic starter at this point is Sat at Circus for Trance, Balance on Saturdays for Deep House or PlayHouse for Mashups. These are the usual venues where musically, its easiest for the ears specially for one who has never, or hasnt checked it out of recent. Well at least in my opinion.
And I agree, better to go to a club rather than a massive IMO. At least for the onset. |

Trin went with me and Dj Woody to see Tiesto in Tijuana. That was an interesting time :D
If you're the type that doesn't really care about what others do, (i.e. if people act stupid, it won't be a buzz kill for you) then definitely check out a massive. It may be kinda overwhelming though if you aren't fond or large crazy crowds.
If you do care what others do, I'd stick to a club.
Age shouldn't restrict you from anything, only your tolerance/tendencies/personality should.
My first party was an underground rave and I swore to myself I'd never partake in any "rave"/electronic music event again. Then I was dragged to TaO 2000-2001 and I totally changed my mind since. LOL |

And now we just keep going to more each year. :happy2:
Moby is still very young. I know people that are older and still go out to massives & clubs and have a fun time. :toocool: |

| Starting with clubs is a safer bet of enjoyment vs. a rave for older people. It's as simple as that. So I'd start there, and thne if you feel adventurous and want to check a rave out but go in knowing what to expect (lots and lots of e-tarded candy kids), ya should be fine. :p |
