| Best weed I've ever tried was in Puerto Rico, people there called it 'crispy'. It got my eyes blood shot and I vomitted all night. Strongest stuff I've ever smoked. |

what!!! not into travelling? that's dumb. you should just surprise him with it... save up a few grand over the course of the next 6-12 months, book a trip to Amsterdam for a week, and just tell him, "Hey, pack up... we're leaving for vacation tomorrow." After that, he'll get the travel bug, believe me. Come on woman, take the reigns! |

it's mostly just because he is the "man of the house" and pretty much takes care of me. i mean i pay my own personal bills and we go half on a lot of things but when i start talking about trips to europe, all he sees is $ signs (in a bad way) and starts stressing. i'm all in la la land like "what! we can afford it!" but he's the practical one and keeps me grounded. he's not where he wants to be financially right now so whenever i try to plan a trip he gets all frustrated.
owning a home and building equity/savings is his only goal in life right now and really, it's smart. i might just have to put my travel bug on the back burner for a few years until we are more financially established. |

I see your point... and it's definitely the responsible adult thing to do. And I applaud you for that. But if you just do it one time as a surprise, where you can tell him it's already paid for (so he won't stress), you guys will have the best time. It might be less fun to do when you're 30+. Do it! :D |

i know trust me. that's more or less how i got him to go to cali in may. i bought all of our tickets (my best friend's included) because it was the spirit airline deal and it was $8 each way. all 3 of our tickets, roundtrip, came to $120 after taxes and everything so i was like it and i bought them and he had no choice.
also, he's not exactly legal here lol he might have trouble getting back into the U.S. if he leaves. he's working on that right now. he's got all the paperwork and stuff he just needs to do what he needs to do and it's very time consuming and explensive but he'll get it done soon. i've been on his ass about it.
and he's french canadian. they're worse than jews. whenever i tell him about something i bought, he's always like, *all serious* how much did you spend"? even though it's my money lol he's only 25 years old too and he acts like a grumpy old jew:stongue: |

:stongue: worse than jews. Hey if you need a good immigration attorney to expedite that situation, let me know. I've been through all that with my wife, and my lawyer is in Orlando. She's awesome. |

well all he has to really do is apply but he wants to do it in another county...not dade & broward because the turnaround time could take up to a year or more. so basically he needs to use someone's address in palm beach county or some other county and it'll get done in a matter of months.
he is part indian (like native american but from canada) and they have special rights. i don't know the details of it but it's a lot easier for his people to get citizenship than others. he has all the necessary paperwork to prove his indian hertiage. he's just being lazy and also we need to figure out the address in another county thing. i have a person in mind but i haven't asked or thought about asking yet and then he called the other day and wants patrick to do an estimate for some work at his clinic so this might actually work out. |

Slylee - check the KLM website for flights direct to Amsterdam. They've got great deals on now. My g/f and I are flying back to Montreal for my siste's wedding in a few weeks and the tickets were only around $900 cdn each, round trip, taxes and fees included.
