| a rapper taking another song's melody or whatever parts of it he wants and adding his own twist/remix is the same exact ing thing as ripperton taking an ellen allien track and re-doing/remixing it. how is that a hard concept to grasp? if you disagree, please explain. |

This is all part of the game. Everyone is eventually going to accept his apology and forget about it, thus setting him up to be even more shocking and troll the world even harder at the next big awards show. :) |

Ellen Allien calls and says "hey Raph, wanna do me a solid and remix my track?" then Ripperton says, "k"
Kanye scenario is "I gotta find me a disco record and sample some 4 bars outta there and re-do the percussion then try to stumble my way through rhymes that don't make sense."
A better comparison would have been, "What's the difference between what a hip hop producer does and EVERY PRODUCER ON THE PLANET does?" |

so edm artists seek out remixers for their tracks and it's not the other way around? that's definitely news to me. thanks for the info though and i guess i stand a little corrected lol
but i still think it's retarded for people who are into edm to bash rappers for taking other songs' melodies. |
