Ah, the poor baby can't take any criticism. Apologies, Dave Dresden/Deadmouth. :)

I was just summing up what I heard in a single statement (the last sentence being an addendum after I heard the vocals, which I didn't find enjoyable) and ALL you took from it was a complaint? Seriously, take a step back from your music and don't be so emotionally involved.

The weak insinuation about my "" being valid before I can make any comment on yours is an argument that is as vapid and tiresome as most of the music on Beatport itself (but if you want to engage in a useless cock-measuring contest, you can hear my sole collaboration in here, 9th track in...older prog/breakbeat fusion when I was using the Origin alias).

So why are you wasting your time here on an Electronic Music Forum if you dont like much of what is released on Beatport? Who said you gotta buy every piece of food sold at a supermarket? Are you that dumb and lazy to not look around?

And dont worry about me son, I got my under control, I mean its not like I didnt expect someone on TA to not troll, get real. And are you retarded "dont be emotionally involved", its my music, of course im emotionally involved with it in some way. But you got things mixed up, I didnt get emotionally involved, you made a useless comment, and what I basically said, is who gives a , other people are liking the music, and i'm guessing somehow your opinion matters to me, when it aint worth a .

It's a known fact that much of the "music" on Beatport is detritus that one has to sift through to find the diamonds in the rough...I'm not asking for your guidance but thanks all the same.

You're a big baby as you only saw the negativity in my comment due to your incapability of accepting constructive criticism. Do you think I honestly equate all dissonance with something that is distasteful and ty? The only negative comment I made was about disliking the use of the vocals. I'm pretty sure I was just summing up the style otherwise:

dissonant jazzy house with a touch of disco/tribal percs.

Indeed I was.

To me, the vocals were offensive. The last thing you should be doing to potential customers/fans is calling them trolls and belittling their talent because you don't like their opinion.

Speaking of trolls, you've been known by many to be one of this site's biggest blights in times past, so be careful how you throw that term around.

You sound reallly tense man, you under the gun? Lean back a bit, breath some air, if your stuck get out of there lol.

But i'd say i'm far from a troll, i'd say more of a troll basher, cause there is quite a few fakeboys here who bash electronic music artists, music, labels.

And dissonance in music isnt really taken as somethin positive, sorry if I took it at initial face value, coming from you. If you genuinely meant in some creative form of complimenting my music, my bad I could'nt tell lol.

Anyhow, we done hijackin? lol

lol...well, as long as we're closer to the same page now.

Dissonance of course can be awful but it's also used as a compositional tool (when done sparingly) as you predominately did in your own tracks! I'm a fan of dissonance when used well and thought overall you did it with class. I apologize if you thought I was denigrating all of it.

Maybe make a new thread to discuss the new Daze Deten EP to end this hijack. ;)

I agree, when dissonance is done well, it can sound really well. Especially if those obscure yet musically enjoyable non harmonies you dont usually hear in music are reached. Its done well in ambient music.

Maybe i'll make a thread tommorow, i'm kinda done for the night lol.

Cool...I apologize for calling you a troll and a big baby also. You're a pretty amenable guy with strong opinions, like m'self. ;)

*Initiates a round of Kumbaya*

Ahem, how 'bout those "Heritage" remixes?!

No worries, I know the system. And you and i, we've had our debates in threads here and there. But I have to admit, I was sweatin the feedback from fellow producers/DJs before those came out.

That said indeed i'm passionate about this music, but I dont get too emotional about it. If I disagree I take a more logical and a grounded reality based route. Which is exactly what I did by mentioning people like it even if there is some dissonance. Like you said afterwords, dissonance can be good.

Speakin of dissonance, I definately explore dissonance in my music, I think its an underused resource, though it sounds "off" to some. If I can make something that is dissonant yet somehow sounds appealing, reaches that weird yet enjoyable place, I try to make use of it.
Lets save the rest in case I make a thread for the EP. Back to 2000 and One and friends...
