Toronto, ON – Juno nominated, God Made ME Funky (GMMF), are taking their energetic live performance on the road once again! The band is touring in support of their recent release Welcome To NuFunktonia. Their fourth album, which was released on July 14, 2009, reached #2 on the Toronto Soundscan charts after only 2 weeks!
GMMF guarantees to bring audiences their trademark mix of R&B, hip-hop, funk and rock, while also incorporating a variety of new musical influences showcased on their recent album. The result? A non-stop dance party that will have audiences grooving all the way home.
The band’s second single, “So In Effect”, is currently receiving spins across Canadian radio stations. The song explores the group’s electronic-infused energy and truly represents their unique “NuFunk” sound. Produced by the multi talented Keith Harris (drummer, Black Eyed Peas and Fergie) and featuring the vocal talent of Miku Graham (Instant Star), GMMF continues to prove their ability to create infectious tunes.
The group recently added 2005 Canadian Idol winner Melissa O’Neil as their new female vocalist. O’Neil, having just completed her stint as a lead vocalist in Dirty Dancing: The Classic Story on Stage, is set to bring her own energy to an already incredible live experience!
