How can I go about making a music video? Say I have some video footage, what is the most efficient program for simple video editing and encoding for uploading to Youtube? My first EP release 'Deeply Rooted' is out on Rebirth Records (Italy) and getting some good feedback, so I wanted to make a video for at least one of the tracks. |

Sure. Its actually rather easy to find for another day or two. Just go to Beatport, click Genre and then Deep House, its the third release up top on the right, 'Daze Deten'. Beatport/Rebirth gave it some adspace ;)
Dont know what type of music your into, but it might be worth checking out :D |

Very interesting, don't usually listen to much like this, but it is very pleasant. |

I would like proof that you made it to beatport.
Judging by your comments on this forum I would not believe it possible. |

How about Sony Vegas or something? Is that what people primarily use? |

I edit a lot of my Spanish Rock videos. I use Adobe Premiere & Final Cut Pro. |

Do you use them together consequently, or just either or? Which one would be better to use for a noob to video production. |

They're both very similar programs and at the end it comes down to personal preferences. If I have to choose one, I choose Premiere. It just works!!!
Final Cut is very picky. Also, with Premiere you can import Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. Pretty much all of the Adobe apps. That's a HUGE plus for me. That way I do some of my graphics on Photoshop & Illustrator and bring them into Premiere without converting anything. Samething with Flash. I do my flash animations and bring them into Premiere.
As far as the interface goes, they're both very similar and work very similar. I remember reading that Final Cut was modeled after Premiere.
Here's a video edit I did.

I swapped the audio from Rock into an Electo Remix of it. I also edited parts of the video and synced the vocals. I didn't do any special effects because I like to keep my videos as close to the originals as possible. There's some parts I would change, but for my intents and purposes it works.
Let me know if you need help! I can show you some video editing and you can show me production! hahahaha
