what a ty price...

Rukes, instead of looking at a laptop 14"+ screen you're looking at a ty low res 6.1" screen now? don't really think thats better IMO

I like the USB linking thing. one memory stick instead of carrying your CD bag around..
usb thing isnt new though, the 400s have them. link option is decent but usb memory sticks are so cheap now and mirroring them is easy.

Holyyy Woodddyyyy!!

These new CDJs are nice, both 2000 and 900!! I love how they both have bigger lcd screen, capability to browse music via USB, memory card, or even mp3 cds. Oh and that needle search looking sick, aaah aaah can't wait to get a hands-on on either one of that.

It is a little bit pricey though, that's the only downside.

I guess I'm going to stick it with 800 or 1000 mk2 mk3 for a while... :(

Like everyone else...

Sounds awesome but too pricey!! Too much investment for a club. The 1000 MK3s are already very good.

Yeah, but they will have no choice once all the DJ's have them on their riders

Most DJs will likely continue to use the mk3 1000 for a while as these have no new features which warrant putting them on a rider or demanding them of clubs.

Most of the guys demanding something other than the mk3 are using DVJs

Eventually these new ones will become standard as the supply of mk3's dwindles but not for a while.

it'll look really nice in the display section for a long while then
DizkokidD
only if this meant that the price of the cdj 1k mk3 was going down...
djThomasPhan
not significantly, it will not go down that much in value imo

Or the DJ's can stop carrying around all those CD's that weigh alot and take up space etc. and Have CDJ 2000 on their rider, I would say by March, most of the top 25 DJ's will switchover. ( the ones that actually use CDJ's)

Who wants to keep burning CD's and carrying them around when the new standard has been introduced.

The Pioneer Rep just posted this on another forum to a user who said it was $5000 for 2 CDJ's & A Mixer.

"$5000? Either you missed the bit about MAP pricing (which is what you'll pay on the street), or you're really bad at math. Try $1699 per player."

yeah you guys are right these babies are expensive. They will probably take a year or two to get into most clubs. I don't know if market penetration is a big thing for Pioneer, but remember they are a japanese company, so they will keep pushing the envelope and price accordingly.

These cannot be compared with the CDJ-1000s because they have WAY MORE connectivity than the CDJ-1000s. Which is why I'm sure that marketing called them CDJ-2000s and not CDJ-1000 MK4 or CDJ-1100, etc.

That being said, the cats out of the bag! lets see what happens and whoever here gets these 1st, DEMO THEM FOR US! cheers, :D

I heard Santa still exists.... (November 2009 release date, just in time for X-MAS and other big holiday gift giving? helloooooo) XD~
