That "needle search" touchpad that lets you jump through the waveform is quite a good idea.
The USB input + full midi control is something my CDJ 400's do for 1/3 the price though... |

yah but i like how you can link the new cdjs through an ethernet connection. that way you only need 1 usb stick. deftinately some cool stuff in these units, but i'd rather put my money into a new mixer rather than new cd players. |

unless you already have a good mixer ;)
$1,299 US FOR CDJ-900
(still ridiculous) |

Eventually the optical media will be removed from the equation all together, and Pioneer will be pushing something closer to a very expensive MIDI controller... (not that the market isn't already flooded with those) |

this does not seem like it is worth the money at all. All it is is an extra piece of expensive hardware that does something you can get done for cheaper with a dvs. I don't think you are going to see clubs rush out and buy these. I'm fine with mine at least, no thanks. |

anyway this kind of gear if for the industry like clubs, shows or bands, not for a DJ that is chilling in his basement with his friends
anybody that spend so much money on CDs for personnal usage is retarded lol |

the thing is i don't see clubs buying it either unless they have to rent them because it is in a guest dj's rider.
usually the guys who already want to use these features are doing so on serato or traktor. |
