there's like 3 versions of the 240 headphone range:
k242hd
k240 MKII
and k240S (which i thought they stopped selling now and replaced with the 242s)
they're all the same, but have slightly different designs (242s are different colour, MKIIs have replaceable cables and earpads).. :) |

S = Studio
Congratulations, you managed to track done one of the original pairs :gsmile:
It's the same ones most of us currently have and they are absolutely wonderful. There's a reason why a lot of people in threads like this often post:

...and that's because they are really that good. No need to go up a model to the K701 at all. |

Would THESE be good? I've seen a few versions of the K240's but I'm not sure which ones I should buy. |

That's the exact same version as Palm, myself etc have. It's the discontinued K240S. In fact, I'm wearing them right now and listening to music on them :D |

| Ya I heard alot of good things about the discontinued pair. But I couldnt find any in UK so I went for the K701 which you get from Thomann for a good price and I'm blown away. |

| thanks for all the help with the recommendations, but im really leaning toward the ultrasone headphones, has anyone used these before? ive read a few reviews and have only read positive reviews. |
