Actually, you know what you COULD make cheaply? French onion soup. It's pretty goddamn simple. Just need some onions and beef broth. Spend your money on some nice bread and cheese and you're good to go.

You don't have to make your own broth, just buy the canned . He uses chicken broth, but I personally prefer it with beef broth. |

yea so I'll just get a baguette and some cheese and call it french.
edit: ooh but I'll slice them in triangles and then place the thick part of the cheese over the thin part of the bread. Get all artsy fartsy and whatnot. |
