the same style bass synth also appears in Bjork - Kindness Kind (Delikate Imposterz Remix), although the arrangement of the bassline is the different. It makes its appearance around the 3:15 mark in this vid, and is taken away/reintroduced a couple of times later on in the track
This incredibly warm sound, to me captures the golden age of progressive house from 2000 to 2003. I could listen to bass lines like that for hours on end. I was reminded when listening to holden's "Fear Of A Silver Planet" compliation on the way to work today..it is just ing incredible. I wish more people would put this kind of basslines in their tracks nowaday

about the youtube clip. i dont think i would narrow it down to a synth. although there are probably people more educated on this, i'd say there would be a multitude of synths that can produce this low sinewave sound? you can mix some harmonics or something if needed? The quality i listened to was low so maybe this can factor

Sounds like a layered bass.
One with a LPF'd sub and an LFO on the volume or a slow attack, and another one with a sort of saw sound in the midrange.

Solid track.

Sounds like a basic saw sound, filtered down low. The voicing style of the notes (legato rather than retriggered envelopes, plus portamento) is part of what gives it that distinctive rolling sound.

lol I saw this thread and thought I had clicked Production Studio instead of Music Discussion.

Plus 1! Indeed this sound is amazing! Better consumed on vinyl ;) I wish this sound could make a comeback so I wont have to listen though the first 0.47 seconds of so many mnml records to find something interesting like that.
Progressive house circa 2000-2004 = Awesome music.

I think I will try and make a similar bass with my Moog tomorrow. Should be doable.

Is this the Holden Remix of "Kindness Kind"?
DJ Blitzkrieg
It kinda sounds like the Union Jack bassline. Not sure how it's done, but it's definitely a filtered down saw with some delay on it maybe?

I'm pretty uneducated on production methods, but I'm going to guess that its a Korg?

A quick glance back at the last 30 days confirms my theory. You post alot but you dotn have the balls to make your own threads. So you just swoop into other people's threads, drop a couple of terds, and move on.
