White Sands

Now in its fifth exciting installment, White Sands returns to deliver Melbourne yet another world-class Trance event and premium clubbing experience that it will never forget.

Renowned for presenting some of the biggest names in global Trance and recognised as one of the city's premier EDM brands, White Sands is raising the bar even higher to bring you the ultimate Cup Eve party with two of the planet's finest DJ/Producers, Jon O'Bir and Mike Foyle.

Featuring White Sands' infamous high-end decor, innovative multimedia, crystal clear ALS sound and dazzling laser show from Lumina Visual Productions; this epic event is set to forge a new benchmark in Trance parties for years to come...

Jon O'Bir (UK)
Widely regarded as one of the most exciting producers in the world today, the UK's Jon O'Bir is an acclaimed artist whose unique tunes are revered for captivating dance floors and taking them by storm. 2009 has been a massive year for Jon: from remixing the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Guiseppe Ottaviani, John O'Callaghan and Aly & Fila, to releasing a critically acclaimed EP ('Answers/Prophase') on Vandit Records, its little wonder his tour schedule is starting to read like an international pilot's logbook. Having taken the nation's Trance fans to heaven and back as a headliner on last year's Australian Godskitchen tour, Jon is returning to show the White Sands faithful why he's regarded as one of the biggest and best names in the game...

Mike Foyle (UK)
Renowned for integrating lush piano compositions with smooth, melodic Trance, UK DJ/Producer Mike Foyle is one of Trance music's undisputed rising stars. With a string of releases on the coveted Armin's Recordings label, such as 'Love Theme Dusk', 'Bittersweet Nightshade' and 'Hex' to his credit, and a wealth of high-end remixes in his ever-expanding discography, Mike has proven himself a prodigious and versatile studio talent. Traversing the realms of classic Trance to modern, melodic Progressive styles, his DJ sets are famed for their eclectic nature and soaring heights. A regular visitor to the world's most prestigious booths, this is Mike's inaugural visit to Australia so let's ensure his Melbourne debut is a huge White Sands welcome he'll never forget!

Steve Strangis is pretty , I've heard numerous mixes and they just lack substance.

What i'm trying to say is that they don't really take you anywhere. I've downloaded some Chris Pana mixes and they are sounding super quality.

Don't want to be a downer but yeah. Refine your art mate.

^ Interesting you base a DJ's ability on a recorded mix. Anyone can put 2 beats together and record it. To feel where the crowd is taken/taking you is something completely different, I'm sure you will agree :) But of course, your entitled to your opinion, as am I :)

firstly just wanted to thank you for the publicity, and also bumping this thread :)

Iv heard nothing but only positive feedback from my gigs/mixes and also the mixes from the Djs that play at white sands, so one persons opinion on a forum does not matter..

And its pretty random that your comparing me to a Dj that has not played a decent gig in 4 years, has Chris Pana done recent mixes for download? Or is there another motive behind your post?

thanks again

Steve, you have to realise this feedback is coming from people who want gigs, so there would be a LOT of bias in what they say...

just saying, keep it real :)
