jay z is a hustler and a business man and happens to be a great rapper. i haven't heard his newer stuff but one of my favorite hip hop songs is "nigga what nigga who" on the hard knock life album and every single song on his black album is sick. just because he hasn't been shot 5 times or whatever doesn't mean he can't be a good rapper lol

you can say the same for biggie smalls. he went to a ing private school ffs and had a very loving and caring mom and he chose to be on the other side because he was fat and wanted to be cool lol but he was obviously very talented on top of it all.
lenazi
biggie went to private school?

:haha:

i'm not hating on jay z, to the contrary i praise his ability to make bank and wish i had that drive. When it comes to his music though, if i know he didn't have a hard knock life, just knowing that makes me want to turn it off when he bulls about it.

i know you won't understand, but hey point taken.
lenazi
also back up something for once, biggie was from the gutter. the only kobe he knew shot three pointers and even then he was dead before it happened.
Slylee
and i saw you talking about no good rap songs coming out in the last 5 years lol

have you listened to any g-unit albums or the game? awesome stuff, in lyrics and production.

the only thing real that biggie could rap about was being poor as a kid. he threw himself into that whole scene. did you see his movie? it was the story of his life and it wasn't that bad. you probably had a more dysfunctional childhood than he did lol it was a great movie actually the actor who played him was amazing.
Slylee
g-unit is basically 50 cent and the game and lloyd banks (also great). are you honestly saying neither of them are great rappers?
lenazi
that is exactly what i am saying.

no soul

no meaning

no production value.

50 cent and his band of asskissers are the 2 girls one cup of rap music.

people listen to them because they know they will throw up and laugh about it later.

to be honest, i really appreciate the production/sound of the songs that group put out more than the lyrics. they are fun lyrics. "good life" lyrics. you dont always have to have a ing story about being shot and in hip hop lol

nevermind this is pointless i have no idea where you're coming from all of a sudden being an elitest about hip hop. it's in hilarious:stongue:
