On FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2, INCOGNITO proudly presents NY Legend & the so-called "Andy Warhol of Dance Music," LARRY TEE (Ultra Records | Brooklyn, NY.)

LARRY TEE hails from Atlanta, GA where he was friends with REM and his first group, the Fans, produced the B-52s' first independent single “Rock Lobster/52 Girls.” He moved to NYC and quickly took over the NYC club scene with his epic party "LOVE MACHINE". He STARTED and named the infamous DISCO 2000 of PARTY MONSTER movie fame and DJ'd the ROXY weekly.

He created the term “Electroclash” for his festivals in 2001/2002 (it's in the Oxford English Dictionary and described as fusing New Wave and electronic dance music.) LARRY TEE's efforts and events have inspired and helped launch the careers of Scissor Sisters, FELIX DA HOUSECAT, 2 Many DJs/SOULWAX, Peaches, RUPAUL, Peaches, W.I.T., Avenue D and FISCHERSPOONER.

His 2009 album Club Badd is described by DJ Mag as "packing more attitude than Lily Allen on a bad hair day." NME describes it as a vivacious mix of booty bass and disposable techno" and gives it a 6-star rating (out of 5). This album has special appearances by SEBASTIEN LEGER, Princess Superstar, Roxy Cottontail, Amanda LePore, Herve, Tomboy, Chewy Chocolate Cookies, Princess Julia, Christopher Just, Mel Merio, Jodie Harsh, Jeffree Star, Amanita and AFROJACK (LAIDBACK LUKE vs DIPLO.)

In the world of nightlife Larry Tee is a legend. Not many people can consistently define cool for the cool-kids, but Larry Tee has been doing just that for over 20 years.

It began in 1980's Atlanta, with Larry Tee spinning new wave at his Celebrity Club with the likes of RuPaul and Amanda Lapore. From there he migrated to NYC to host Disco 2000 and Love Machine along with the Club Kids and the infamous Michael Alig (who you might remember from the film "Party Monster"). He even co-wrote RuPaul's classic 'Supermodel' track. After some time out of the spotlight, he reemerged as the Godfather of Electroclash...he even trademarked the term in 2001.

Since then he's worked with acts such as Peaches, Princess Superstar, Fischerspooner, Ladytron - even Perez Hilton - and released a few tracks you've almost surely heard in the electro clubs (for example, see "Licky w/ Princess Superstar" below). But, in all this time, he's never released an album.

That all changed on May 5, 2009, when his debut "Club Badd" is released.

We managed to snag a little bit of Larry Tee's time to ask him a few questions about his career, his music, and his new album.

Larry Tee! Nice! :D

NY HOUSE LEGEND LARRY TEE's events were the preferred place to be, and in the late 90's, was the only place to be seen for PARTY MONSTER's Michael Alig & the Club Kids. From DEEE-LITE, to DEPECHE MODE to KRAFTWERK, when in NY, there was only one party they wanted to perform for during those years.

We have been consistently good the past 2 years and we would like to thank you for your continuous support of INCOGNITO and what we have done and what we continue to do.

For those that have never checked us out, trust me when I say that if you want amazing cutting edge house music, plus a vibe that makes you want to dance like no one is looking, a venue thats safe, a sound and light system thats worth your money, and best of all, a crowd thats warm, friendly and in no way cliquish nor snobby, then that can only mean one thing..you should turn INCOGNITO every 1st, 3rd and 5th Fridays.
