Izotope oZone problem

I got the program a while ago, it has potential to do some incredible things to my mixdown/mastering, but I haven't used it in anything yet because of a latency issue I have with it. No matter what I use it for, it creates a pre-delay that sets everything off beat by random intervals.

Has anyone else come up with that problem?
Stef
Indeed, but i only use it when I'm mastering the end .wav product. You could run the sound through the ozone then render it and keep it as audio that way.

I thought about that but then I'd have to master my song with multiple tracks, since I used different settings for bass/percussion/etc rather than mastering it all in one go.. I guess I could export individual patterns and just string together a mess of .wav files but that's just way too much work, considering most of my songs have about 40 patterns each.

Do it mastering house style. Export each track as a WAV and put the magic dust on them.

Check the box for delay compensation under options. It's a bit ed though, I've had to do that every time i open a project with Ozones in it.

I've never had this happen. What sequencer are you using?

FL Studio 8

Ahh... guess they still don't have PDC.

In that case my suggestion would be what Stef said, just make it last in the chain, that's kind of how it was designed to be used anyway (not that you can't use it for other things if the architecture supports it).

I remember trying, hopelessly, to deal with variable plugin delays in a much older version of Fruityloops, and I can honestly say that it's not worth the bother, there are enough other plugins out there that do (almost) what Ozone does.

I dont have that problem in sx, but someone told me that ozone is best used on a single piece of audio at a time.
mysticalninja
no problem putting it on the master on sx here

best thing to do is open a second version of fl one in arrangement mode the other to make stuff in,then just simply render and lay the parts out in the other fl and use your mastering plugins then that way you wont max out the pc.
