I thought it was a 50yr anniversary bottle for QEII's coronation, not a 50yr old. Essentially a blend of a load of different other whiskys.

ughh

my dad drinks it. i usually buy him a bottle of 21 year old glenn livet for xmas every year.

and my former boss used to drink macallan 12 all the time and swore by it.

i will never acquire a taste for that stuff omg:wtf:

I got myself a bottle of good ol' Drambuie, which ought to get me going at the party later on tonight. I'm not really familiar with Whisky, so let's see what that baby does to me.

I was born in the same year, in the same place as this (the distillery is the other side of the park from my house):

The most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland.

Oh yeah and trivia factoid, Alexander Keith (Keith's Beer) was born here too.

So how many of you mix this stuff?
Danny Ocean
great suggestions, and my favorites have already been mentioned. I dont mix it, straight up, especially if it's single malt. But i always drink it with no ice or water.
Dervish
I don't personally, a bit of luke warm water, and that's it. But to dump coke into a single malt? It's like having the Olsen twins at your mercy and just going for a cleveland steamer.

The17sss
3 or 4 small pieces of ice... a small splash of water... and rub a lemon peel around the lip of the glass.

i won`t get into a diatribe about which scotch is best...all i can say is welcome to the jesus of liquor.

what i will say is never pay too much from a bottle from let`s say 1945, because whiskey/scotch only ages in the barrel and not the bottle.

happy travels.
