Maybe she actually doesn't think that the she's feeding them is THAT bad for them. I think she needs to be more informed of what she's doing to their bodies, short term and long term.
She obviously loves her kids and wants what's best for them... she probably just thinks "oh what the hell, let them have their treats" and she's unaware that she's doing serious damage.
My sister is very hot-headed and if you tell her she's doing something wrong she will immediately put up a barrier and not listen to reason. If this were my sister, I would do it step-at-a-time and in a laughing manner like "Omg Aleks what the is all this candy in here? lololol you're gonna have mad dentist bills. Just save yourself the time and money and feed them carrots"
Or pay to have her kids enrolled in swimming lessons/gymnastics
A gift from Aunt Jamie for Christmas/bdays. Get the kids really excited about it first before you ask your sister, that way she will have to agree.
Plus, it sounds to me like she's trying to find ways to make them happy because she doesn't feel she is a good mother... hence the junk food. "Mommy can i have candy?" "Sure sweetie". happy kid. mom is the best. |

you hit the nail on the head. i say this all the time. it's also the reason why they have a MILLION ing toys. all she does is drag them to walmart for toys that they don't even need.
and all my nephew ever wants to do is go outside and play ball and catch bugs. if only she would get off her fat ing ass and go for walks with him or something.
he is involved in Tball and stuff now so he gets exercise. |

omg the best (or worst i should say lol) was when my mom first moved to indianapolis and was all excited about being able to have her grandkids visit all the time, my sister made it a point to show my mom where all the fast food joints were that were close to her apt. my mom was like "i dont really care about this" and my sister was like, "well MY KIDS LIKE MCDONALDS OK? so you're gonna have to know where these are!:mad: "
my mom was just like, "uh. ok:wtf:" but of course she never takes them there lol my mom said she straight up tells my nephew "we're not going there, that's garbage food and it's bad for you" whenever he asks for mcdonalds. she said he always just goes "ok". lol thats the part that pisses me off the most. he actually WANTS to eat other and she sits there and lies and acts like that's what they want but it's what SHE wants.
