Dope. Ive seen Moby do a live show before. In the past I've seen his sitting in front of a bunch of keyboards, sequencers with various singers including himself, but this was different.. it was a FULL band. Drums, Bass, Guitar, Violin, Keyboards, Bongos, and multiple singers/back up singers.
I wasn't feeling the new material so much. Don't get me wrong it was good, just not enough energy for me. I'd listen to it driving, or at home, but I don't want to hear it at 10pm while I'm standing shoulder to shoulder with people in a hot room. All the old stuff was wicked. Go was my favorite. They also did a cover of Joy Division which was pretty cool. I left early since my girlfriend had to wake up early for work today.. wonder if they did feeling so real? I was hoping to hear that.. memories of my early rave days!
all in all a good show and I'd go see him again for sure. |

the only rave style tune they did really was Go. Which was ing amazing.
The best reaction by far was from their older and dancier stuff. Hands to the heavens... CRRRRRRRRRAZY |

The last track they played before the Encores was Raining Again but they played Steve Angello's version. Awesome concert although not much of a crowd interactive musician. Loved the "thank you, thank you, thank you" after every song. The guy makes me laugh and I can't figure out why....
My only WTF was the 100% faux female bass player they had on stage. Like why bother? I'm not exagerating she didn't play 1 song, she just stood there and pretended to play...might as well been playing air guitar :)
Also I think he must have a pretty big $take in his opening act. I totally forget her name but the ticket should have read Moby and "so and so" because I think she peformed as much as he did... |
