Here's a few questions to the Androids about the release and their projects:
1) You have your debut release out on Mija Recordings, how did it come about?
We were in Miami for the Winter Music Conference, it was the second to last day there, and Steve Lawler forwarded us an e-mail that Mija were looking for artists, and we responded right away and sent you some tracks. Mija wrote back shortly thereafter and loved what we sent, and bam!
2) What gear / software do you produce with?
We use an Elektron Machinedrum, Logic Pro, Ableton, a Virus TI, Keyboard, and a variety of software synths.
3) What labels have Android Cartel released on?
Android Cartel has seen releases on labels such as VIVa MUSiC, sMACk, Fade Records, Railyard Recordings, EQ Recordings, Boz Boz, and Tekfunk, to name a few.
4) Have you done any remix projects?
We have done remix projects for Chris Fortier, Erphun, Strict Border, Reuben Keeney, John Graham, and are working on a few special ones right now.
5) What releases do you have forthcoming?
Upcoming releases include a 2 track EP coming out on John Graham's label Boz Boz, a 2 track EP coming out on Chloe Harris' Further Recordings, and another 2 track EP coming out on Railyard Recordings. The we have another EP coming out on Mija in January with Reset Robot and Tony Rohr & Alexi Delano remixes. |
