im considering this... probably wont happen but someone help me out anyway. never been to toronto so i would defiantly love to come.

im thinking of flying in friday afternoon and flying out monday morning. found a decent priced hotel in downtown and a flight thats not too bad.

but what else would there there be to do in toronto the friday night and sunday day? doesnt have to party oriented either.

also, anyone have any idea what the ticket prices would be for this night? how much are prices usually at guv? and its probably a bit early, but what would the possible set times be? that flyer doesnt look like its for this show. but if its dusk till doorn i would think sander would be doing an extended set. a 3hr set would defiantly not be worth all that traveling.

thanks in advance for any help. and love_child, i know i coulda pmed you all of this stuff, but might as well just post it here as i check this forum more often anyway. :p

Ticket prices would probably be 15-20 dollars Canadian :p Quite possibly a reduced guest list cover @ $10? I heard Sander will be doing a 6 hour set which IMO would be well worth the trip but until we find out for sure I wouldnt make any decisions.

In terms of what to do on friday and sunday...well someone else might want to help out with that stuff. It would be great if you could make it though...I know Sander will not dissapoint ;)

Also, if the 6 hour set does happen my guess would be a start time of 12:00pm to 6:00am and a closing set by Mark Oliver.

Miami dood bring a jacket its gonna be cold by late october.
In terms of what to do Friday you can always find somewhere to party, try king st west or queen st west(west of Spadina) enough clubs/bars to check, might be some events going on by then also. Sunday during the day.... recovery time, cool stores on queen, patio bars (weather permitting)Oh and grab yourself a Joint our weeds better then yours :tongue2

thanks for the info guys. sounds like sander really might do an extended set which would make this worthwhile. i figure ill need a big ass jacket though. coming from miami you guys will still probably be running around in tshirts and shorts and ill be freezing my ass off. lol.

question about the weed... its decriminalized or something in canada no? so how easy would it be to find? although it may beat out miami weed (which ive had my fair share of badass of so maybe not) but no way will it compare to amsterdam weed which i had last month. :toothless still cant say i wouldnt mind sampling some of canadas though... ive only heard good things. ;)

Haha, what? Most DJ's only do 3 hour sets, and it is quite common for a headliner to come to Toronto, play a few hours, and BOUNCE.

Pot is most definitely illegal in Canada, it was never decriminalized. You won't be able just walk down the street and find a dude selling, not really the way it works here (in most places). Also, best not to be asking on a public forum about this sort of thing. Everybody can read this page, who know who is reading...

sorry if i misunderstood. id figured it was still illegal. no one here is assuming i can walk into a store and buy it. maybe decriminalized was the wrong word to use. i was just asking if it was as big of a deal there as it still is here. but from what im getting, i dont think so.

i am defiantly not stupid enough to walk down the street and try to buy from strangers in another country. and im not asking anyone to provide anything for me, i simply asked a question about it since someone else brought it up. posting that on a public forum is defiantly not a crime. i was just asking a question. sorry if it offended anyone. and i highly doubt itll cause any problems.

i think people are assuming an extended set vs the normal 3 hour set time because its sander's dusk till doorn party. specifically. i dont think he'd advertise it as such if it wasnt supposed to be an extended set.

This is exactly what I was thinking. The last time Sander was in Toronto he spun a 3 hour set. I really do think that since this is Dusk Till Doorn he will be spinning an extended set unless he brings someone else along with him which I highly doubt.
