Anyway... I'm tall, and I was wearing a pale blue T-shirt with sunglasses and spikey hair.

Dude I'm really not sure... you were leaning up against the bar I believe. Maybe towards the end of Oakie's set?

Here's my review of the party with Paul Oakenfold's at Aria last Saturday. Well one word: HOT. Aria was jam packed, way more than the night at Misstress Barbara (my favorite night at Aria), some estimate say about 3600 peeps in there. There's no way to move anywhere, no place to dance, too hot, and eeeuh too many "gays" expressing themselves... Paul started the set with some tracks I didn't like/found weird... some mixes IMO weren't well mixed, the beats were badly overlapping... plus add to that the Aria's sound system wasn't at its top shape... wasn't that loud, maybe half of when I went for Miss B. maybe just an impression. The ticket was something like 35$ on pre-sale and 55$ at the door and seeing the DJ crossing his arms during all the set must've piss some people off... it looked arrogant to me, plus all his tracks were prepared in advance so no surprises for that night. His last one hour and half kicked some ass tho, I was dancing or trying too without bumping into people, was very pleasant to see some friends (their first time at Aria) enjoying themselves, they were freaking out when they saw those huge gay guys massaging and making out... hahahaha! Oh yeah, the visuals on the giant screens were nice but way too repetitive in my opinion, it was a new VJ and I hope its the last time he's hired for Aria...

Another funny moment was when my friends noticed that we were surrounded exclusively by two or three rings of huge muscled guys... we got off the dance floor as fast as possible. Or how about that time I was dancing and noticed this girl checking me out and dancing very close and bumping with me AT THE SAME time this gay doing the same... agh... please help me God.

All in all, I had alot of fun at Aria because of the vibe and people in there but I think the management at Aria should reconsider the number of people they let in at once. When Paul put Adagio for strings (last track I think) I was freaking out because I love that song soooo much, I was like shouting and jumping around and dancing and I LOST MY BREATH!! I was about to fall down because of the heat and my head spinning, I started pushing people trying to get the out the dance floor and catching my breath... I sat down for a good fifteen minutes near the entrance... I'll never forget this bad moment, first time I loose my breath like that!!!

I was very happy to meet the usual peeps like Taha, ZinG, Jad, Orangemek, El-See and Johnny. Plus I was very happy to meet for the first time TechnoAddict and TrancePlant. TechnoAddict, you freaked me out when you started talking arabic with me!! hahaha! That was funny as hell, it was fun partying with you! TrancePlant was looking for me and asked on of my friend by pure luck if he was me, my friend freaked out and asked how the hell he knew me!!! hahahaha I'm way too popular ;)

Biggy there were a lot of sound problems during the first half hour of oakenfold's set , the EQ on the mixer and in the big one was going to explode , i've never seen it before hit the red and orange bars :)

Malek,

Funny cuz I ended up staying on the stairs where it wasn't too crowded and fresh air was circulating. So I see this guy with a camera, and I yell out "Are you Malek"...he says no, but your buddy happen to be there and mentioned you were around somewhere and that you'd be back shortly. Funny coincidence.

Overall a good show. Definitely too crowded IMO but hey, I'm happy for JFL. Busy is good business. Ideally (for moi) is to have the crowd as dense as what I experienced at Corsten and Buuren. Started feeling pretty good about the music during the last hour of Paul's set, many classics played.

Like Malek said the video was repetitive esp the New York skyline. Was interesting to see the twin (II) Towers.

Looking forward to the next events..likely going to be Rank 1 on the 26th.

Talk to yas laterz
