Born out of the success of the Liverpool-based Circus club events, founder and resident Yousef’s has guided Circus Recordings through its early development to become a representation of the cool, emotive music the club night is famed for.
Following the release of his debut artist album "a Collection Of Scars And Situations", Yousef releases his Summertime EP that showcases three of the standout cuts from the album in their full length form and with unreleased mixes.
Incorporating elements as diverse as folk and samba, Fun Whore exemplifies Yousef’s innate understanding of tribal house music. Highly hypnotic with bursts of distorted vocals this is an intense, heavy track that retains the trademark funk.
I See All flips the vibe of the EP on its head with the mood changing from good times terrace mover to deep and dark mood setter. Marching beats and buzzing bass provide a stifling backdrop while wigged out bleeps flicker in the foreground.
Two new versions of A Moment Of Clarity feature alongside the cinematic ambience of the original. The Club Mix throws a signature chunky Yousef groove under the atmospherics while the Dub adopts a darker take on the original vibe.
