DMP Trance DVD - anyone watched it?

Was just wondering if anybody has bought any of these dvd's and whether they are worth it.

I have seen that trance dvd.

First Rick tells you that he starts a project with his own sort of a GM midikit. That has basically the most common instruments/sounds he usually uses in his songs: kick, clap, hihat, bass, lead. (or something like that.)

Then he creates boring 4 bar lead if I remember correctly. And build less than average song from it. Can't really say it's worth the money. Few good pointers, but nothing special. By the end of the dvd you already hate that song.

I've seen lots of clips of these on youtube but am not taken with them.

Those I've seen are very generic, behind the times and don't really give you true insight. For example one says always centre the bass, yet my latest Ferry Corsten compilation had bass panned and swirling all over.

It seems these vids are made by people who have what I would term a 'theoretical knowledge'.

I'm always put off by the terrible cheesey sounds they use to.
