It's that time of Year again, winter is around the corner, in less than two months we can travel north to drink fresh Magic Hat: Circus boy and ride our asses off! So lets talk gear, trips, your ipod's playlist and all other bull. Post pics of your gear or you riding or just straight chillen getting smashed on or off the mountain.

Some to check out this year,
Mount snow, Carinthia Face, the whole face of the mountain is a terrain park. It looks sick.
Whistler for the olympics if you have deep enough pockets.
Hokkaido, Japan (who knows where the road can take you!)

I just got a list from a friend of mine who gave me the scoop on his ski club events.

If any is interested in getting a foursome going on one of these trips let me know? I'll also try to dig MCB out from the sticks and get his butt on the ski trip thing.

Best part about this is, we don't have to do the "planning" and just go with the group thing.

These are the ones on the list that interest me

Jackson Hole, WY - Feb 20-27 $1405/pp
Includes Airfare, bus to and from mountain / airport
Accomodations
6 day lift ticket
2 group dinners and a happy hour

Aspen, CO - Mar 20-27 $1600/pp
Same as above - accomodations include 2 heated outdoor pools, 3 outdoor hottubs, 2 group dinners, happy hours.
5 day lift tickets - valid aspen, snowmass, buttermilk, and highlands.

Ogden, UT - Jan 14-18 $1050/pp
RT Airfare, 4 nights @ Ogden Marriot, Daily Breakfast Buffet, 2day lift ticket @ Snowbasin, 1 day @ Powder Mtn, 2 Group Dinners

Ski resort sets helmet rule after Richardson death
(AP) – 1 hour ago

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Six months after actress Natasha Richardson died following a fall at the Mount Tremblant ski resort in Quebec, the company that operates the facility has announced helmet requirements at its North American resorts.
Vancouver-based Intrawest said Thursday it will recommend all skiers and snowboarders wear helmets when the ski season begins in a few weeks.

Richardson, the 45-year-old wife of actor Liam Neeson, died in March after falling during a skiing lesson and suffering a head injury at Mount Tremblant.

Intrawest operates nine ski resorts including Winter Park, Copper Mountain, and Steamboat Ski & Resort in Colorado; Stratton in Vermont; Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia; Mountain Creek in New Jersey; Mount Tremblant in Quebec; Panorama Mountain near Invermere, British Columbia; and Whistler Blackcomb, which will host alpine events for the 2010 Winter Games.

those are some pretty nice vacation packages, I would be down for either Aspen or Jackson Hole.
Sucks about the Helmet Policy. Even though I usually wear one, but then theres days where I don't want to ride hard and chill and prefer not to have that .
