Didn't see a post up here in my weekly views here, anybody else heard of this?
this is very sad. I'm looking at the blueprints of what was the main floor, looking for the "spots" where I had good and bad times .. and to see all this .. these retail stores there .. . what a blow to the good old party times/memories.

| The magic had been gone from that building as a club venue for over 10 years. I understand your nostalgia though. Sometimes a space is just played out. |

I agree with PP, Limelight has been over for more than a decade, 97ish, between Angel's murder and Giuliani's cousin's kid oding in a VIP room, the city did everything possible to destroy it. Yeah, it had phases of having crazy parties and being over, but it was always nostalgic. I went with my psycho sister the first time, she was in her twenties and I was fourteen. Even the first time, it felt like my old haunt. I had a few jobs there and with promoters- ropes(inside), door, lists, cashier, passed out flyers, you name it and I can say for sure, every night was fun.
A few months ago, we walked by and there was a sample sale. It was in the old exit, left door. It was really strange standing where we would stumble out in the morning. It is going to be really odd shopping in the Cha Cha lounge or the mirror room. |

LIMELIGHT is where I saw TIESTO for the first time 2001:(
NYC went from being a Mecca for Elektonik Musik Nightclubs to no having nightclubs at all.

I read about Twilo and how Digweed and Cox were residencies, and about limelight. I can't believe how it was. It makes me sick that I missed the boat. I dunno if it'll ever be back :(
I can't believe Pacha is the only club left. |

Thank GOD for PACHA bro !!! Small and everything but it's pretty much the only "Mega NightClub" we got left:rolleyes: That is one spot the authorities had been trying to shut down for good for years.
There is also M2 ultra Lounge which is just such a waste of club if you ask me !!!!
