I've been pulled over by them countless times in the last 6 months on my way home from work at night. They pulled me over outside my next door neighbors one night. Always on the prowl at night harassing people not really doing anything wrong. Go and catch some real crims you ****s. If it keeps up I'll be moving soon which sux because the place itself is nice.

Bummer man, that sucks. Big fine? I quit weed a few years ago, so I'm not sure of the penalties any more :p

The cops around here aren't too bad. We're pretty close to a huge police station in the next suburb over (Morningside) so they're everywhere, but they don't seem to really do much, save for what I've seen in the last week or so.

We live near a big cemetery, and wander around it quite a bit (lots of birds to take pics of) and see the cops cruising through there a bit. They usually ask what we're doing, but the big camera/lens usually gives it away :p Last time I spoke to them up there, they were looking some some guy that was reportedly whacking off (in the cemetery :wtf: ) so I tend not to let my gf walk around alone in there. Weirdo fuckers :wtf:

So anyone ever have cops camped out down a few houses when you are staying somewhere and ask yourself - coincidence or not?

Police cars park IN FRONT OF MY GODDAMN DRIVE WAY sometimes because there's another domestic dispute between the fat Messican couple living next door. Always awkward because I really just want to say, "um move your car you idiot," but I don't want to get tased.

It's not a coincidence. They could only possibly be there for you, William.

What do you say, who here would think that the cops were parked there for them, and who would think they were just there for some other reason all evening?

I would have sent you to the gulag a long time ago.

I copped a $300 fine and four month good behaviour bond, so I got off pretty lightly. I heard the laws here are stricter regarding canabis but I think I would have got a similar punishment had it happened down in Victoria.
LOL at the wierdos around though, I saw some guy walking in and out of the public toilet block across the road the other week, he looked pretty sus, some strange folk around here too.

Welcome to QLD, lol :(

Yeah, everything up here is normally a few (or more) years behind every other state in this country. Talk slower, drive slower, progress... occasionally... don't hold your breath, etc.

Too many redneck farmers, or just plain idiots.

That said, it's still a pretty good city to live in. Waaaaay less issues that Syd/Mel.
