This wicked gurgling acid breakbeat number goes back to 1993 (the single was released approx 2 years prior to the album referenced here):
Domesticated
That whole album is nice.

303 never did much for me. I like subtle acid effects and basslines but not when it dominates the whole track as in higher state. I've heard 303's while completely wasted and it still didnt do it for me. I guess its not for everyone

D'uh! And how do you think all the acid flavoured music differs from any other music without the acid to appeal to each and everyone? You don't need to like everything you know.

This from the guy who praised Acid Trax, which is one 303 pattern and a beat.

Wink's discography goes beyond Higher State, you know. Do check out "Funky Elevation" if you want something more subtle and hypnotic...the spacious melodic stabs are delectable.

wink is pretty much hit or miss for me - usually the latter - but 'are you there' is pretty damn good, despite sounding heavily commercial. i rather reluctantly played the vinyl i found in a discount bin and was rather surprised. i like how the 303 grows more distorted and growls after the middle, something rare coming from wink, and something which he hasn't done with many other tracks.
The Crusher - Redlights / Kill Me features one pretty good banging acid track as well.
